Youth Investee Program
Our focus is to bridge the generational wealth gap between un-informed high school youth and equitable access to critical financial knowledge/skills. It is our mission to provide under served and under resourced communities with the opportunity to build a strong economic mobility in order to acquire financial freedom for themselves and future generations.
KP Cares youth investment program is an eight-week financial literacy/investment program. We believe in investing in the future and there is no future without our young people. Therefore, our greatest return on investment is the investment that our youth make in themselves.
Unit 1: MONEY, PSYCHOLOGY, INTRINSIC VALUE
Examine the ways divergent thinking and generational trauma affects ones’ ability to begin the process of investing and begin to develop a basic understanding of assets versus liabilities.
Unit 2: INVESTING 101
Explain the importance of understanding various investing concepts, macroeconomic indicators, and the significance of being able to calculate and forecast projections/ profits.
Unit 3: FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS
Understand the components of an income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
Unit 4: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Compare various methods of technical analysis including reading candle sticks, price action, and indicators.
Unit 5: NAVIGATING A BROKERAGE
Recognize how to execute buying and selling stocks and gain understanding on components of a brokerage account.
